Nope! Its just me, Derek.

Just a little bit of an introduction, I have been a D.V.S.A approved Driving Instructor for 10 years, starting in the Bracknell area. Then I moved back in 2021 to my original home town where I spent my early years, Yateley. Soon after moving to Yateley I decided to switch from teaching Manual Gears to Automatic Gears, mainly due to the fact we are all heading towards electric cars which are all automatic. Additionally, over recent years, I have noticed that even the few new petrol cars being sold are only being sold as automatics. Although I am also a 'petrol head' and love my classic V8 Jaguar, I also believe that we all need to be much more environmentally friendly, which is why I teach in an electric car. Young people have a hard time finding their first cars, but fortunately, second hand EVs, like the Renault Zoe, are not much more in price than a petrol car. I believe many young people are also concerned about the world they live in, another big reason for me to offer driving lessons in an electric car.

 

I have enjoyed every minute of my time as a Driving Instructor and have had many wonderful pupils over the years. Some were very memorable(!!) but all of them required different levels of instruction. I'm very proud of the number of perfect passes I have had (currently 12) and, of course, I'm looking forward to the next one, whenever that comes. But I have enjoyed a high pass rate all the way through, most students I teach tending to obtain less than 5 minor driving faults. I am always honest and  have to say its not all my work, it's my pupils' as well. It's all team work in my car.

 

My lessons are always informative, and I like to make them enjoyable and fun, having found  its the best way to help the learning process, I don’t just teach you to pass your driving test, I teach you to be a very safe driver who enjoys driving.
